The Architecture wing of PWD is responsible for preparation of architectural design and drawing for buildings, stadiums, gateways, interior works, and Landscape projects as per requisition received from different Govt. departments. The design credential of the wing ranges from Block level Primary Health Centres to Tertiary Cancer care hospitals, large scale court buildings, universities, and crematoriums. It also works on urban beautification/ riverfront development projects. Architecture wing provides its support from concept to completion of the project till it is handed over to the client. The wing is headed by Chief Government Architect and supported by other Architects. The head office of the Architecture wing is situated in Bhavani Bhavan, Kolkata.
