Bongaon

Bongaon is West Bengal’s most popular spot located east of Kolkata. Bongaon is perfect for short weekend tour. People can reach Bongaon by train (Sealdah-Bongaon Local), Bus or private car(on NH35, NH 34- Chakdah-Bongaon Road). The journey takes approximately 77 km by train from Sealdah. Bus takes approximately 3h 30m from Dakkhineswar & also Bus takes approximately 45 minutes from Chakdah Bus Stand.

Bolpur

Bolpur-Santiniketan is one of the perfect weekend gateway destinations for the people who are eager to travel. It's a great relief from the metropolitan's delirious pace and pollution. Shantiniketan is a tourist attraction mainly because Rabindranath lived here and penned many of his literary classics (namely Rabindrasangeet, poems, novels etc.) here at his home which is a place of historical importance. Sagar

The journey takes approximately 4h 15m by train from Howrah. Bus takes approximately 4h 35m from esplanade. The scenic beauty of the beach is charming & eye-soothing and the beach is divided into two parts named-Old Digha and New Digha. The sea beach of Old Digha does not allow to bath, So even if one is residing in Old Digha, he/she will have to travel to New Digha to take a bath in the sea. Darjeeling

Jayanti
